Whilst volunteering at a beer festival we had a “ladies day”. We packed the bar with female servers decked out in some awesome “women love beer” t-shirts. The only men on the bar were two guys from a brewery that was featured and one guy who I’m pretty sure was lost.
That particular day we had some amazing beers on. I personally was stood in front of several awesome porters, a honey ale and one of the worst cask lagers I’ve ever had in my life. It was bland and I’m pretty certain it was off. I didn’t sell any of it. Deliberately. But along comes the lost boy (well, he was about 50) telling every woman on the bar (mostly dark beer lovers, but generally all around beer geeks), multiple times how we must sell the cask lager to any female customers because, urged the lost boy, “Ladies love a lager!!”
